The membership renewal, the registrations for physical fitness and the registrations for the social activities were a success.
With your cooperation we will successfully reboot the Club and offer a thriving leisure program for the well-being of seniors.
We are thrilled to have celebrated the DDO Seniors Club's 25th anniversary with our members, volunteers, and esteemed guests! The evening was filled with heartfelt speeches, entertainment, and joyous memories. We were honored to have Mayor Alex Bottausci, DDO city councillors Errol Johnson, Max Mickey Guttman, Tanya Toledano, Morris Vesely, and Anastasia Assimakopoulos, as well as MNA Brigitte Garceau, join us in celebrating this special milestone.
A special thanks to the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux for their continued and generous support of our club over the years—your commitment has been invaluable to our success. We also extend our gratitude to our partners, whose generosity made this event possible: Brigitte Garceau, MNA; Desjardins Caisse de l’Ouest-de-l’Île; Hyundai Gabriel Ouest; Maison funéraire Rideau; Sunrise Maisons de vie pour retraités; Yves Légaré and many others.
It was a true highlight of the evening to honor our club's first president from 25 years ago, Joyce Sweeney, present at the event, who was recognized by our current Board President, Francine Lamotte, for her pivotal role in the club's founding. Francine Lamotte also took the opportunity to thank the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux and acknowledge the Board of Directors, the 25th anniversary Organizing Committee, our amazing volunteers, and all our 800+ members for their unwavering dedication and support, which has kept the club thriving over the years.
Our deepest appreciation goes to CM Images Photography for capturing the magic of the night. You can view the event photos here.
Additionally, we invite you to explore the PowerPoint presentation from the evening, showcasing our club’s milestones.
Thank you to everyone who made this milestone event a success!
Did you know mah-jong is not just a game, but a social phenomenon?
Global TV visited our Club last week to capture the magic of this ancient Chinese tile game that's quite popular within our members. Not only does it enhance your brain health, but it also enriches social connections, all while having a fantastic time with friends.
Check out the Global TV coverage and the interviews with some familiar faces!
